You can either buy a gingerbread house kit or buy the materials separately.

Materials

-1 box of graham crackers

-1-2 container of vanilla frosting

-LOTS and LOTS of CANDY!!!

Some ideas for candy are:

candy canes

gummy bears

mints

licorice

m&m's

The best way to start is to gather all your materials. You can open each type of candy and put them in small bowls or containers for everyone to share.

  • Using the frosting, put the house together. The frosting acts like glue holding together the graham crackers.
  • Cover the house with as much frosting as you prefer.
  • Before the frosting hardens decorate your house with candy.

    Once your gingerbread house is complete you will want to wrap it in saran wrap or cellophane. Look at the pictures for some decorative ideas.

    Making a gingerbread house is fun for all ages. You can create something simple to enjoy or make a gingerbread mansion!
