  • Tighly closed bud
  • Firm to the touch
  • No brown or soft spots

    Preparing the Roses

  • Remove damaged pettals
  • Cut stem about 1/2 inch from the bottom of the bud
  • "Clip & Dip" method seals water into the stem
  • Wire and Tape

  • Cut wire 6-8 inches long
  • Wire through the highest green portion of the bud
  • Stretch floral tape and wrap tightly

  • 1-2 sprigs of small filler flower
  • 1-2 sprigs of greenery
  • 1 ribbon loop
  • Arrange the greenery towards the back with the ribbon and filler flower towards the front. Tape all the pieces together wrapping the wires all the way to the end. Curl wire end around a pen or pencil as a finishing touch.

    Repeat steps from the boutonnierre to create three more boutonnieres. These three will be used for the corsage.

    Assemble the corsage by arranging the three boutonneires in a triangle like shape. Tape the boutonnieres together, starting as high as possible. Once secured together, trim off the excess stems and wires from two of the three bountonniers. Continue wiring, covering the entire remaining wire. Gently bend the roses and ribons as desired.
